Welcome to the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon (“Tribe”) Sex Offender Registry website. On June 18, 2007 the Warm Springs Tribal Council passed Resolution No.10,774 to promote public safety on tribal lands and protect tribal citizens from violent crime. The Tribe had a compelling interest to protect tribal sovereignty and tribal jurisdiction over tribal lands. The Tribal Council elected to exercise jurisdiction under the Adam Walsh Act and enacted Ordinance 91, codified as Chapter 380 of the Warm Springs Tribal Code. This code requires any person, whether Indian or non-Indian, who has been convicted of a sex offense and resides, works, or goes to school on lands subject to the jurisdiction of the Tribe to register as a sex offender with the Tribe. It also establishes this public accessible registry which is maintained by the Tribe’s Sex Offender Registration Office.
